According to a statement by Landmark, Renovation works are slated to commence in 2025 and will be completed in phases. The revamped resort will feature modern hotel accommodations, luxurious waterfront villas, a world-class kids park, a variety of food and beverage outlets, idyllic beach lounges, recreational and adventure activities, a golf course, and sporting facilities.

Landmark Africa's latest move is part of its expansion strategy, following the 2024 demolition of its Lagos resort to make way for the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. The company recently acquired waterfront land in Port Harcourt to redevelop the Port Harcourt Tourist Beach.

Nike Lake Hotel Resort in the southeastern city of Enugu, was founded in 1988 under the old Anambra State. Built on the banks of the Nike Lake in the Abakpa Nike district to the north of the city, it was an attempt to insinuate modern comforts into a naturally beautiful environment.
